How do I add a Hub when using the Dimplex Control app?

Applicable to models:  Dimplex Hub, Dimplex Control App

First, login to the Dimplex Control App. If you have not logged into the app before, you will need to create an account. To do so, either tap on the "Sign up with Email or Phone" links on screen, or via social media account with one of the icons for that social media platform shown on screen.

Once logged in, there will be a House icon in the top right corner of the screen with a plus symbol next to it. Tap on that icon.

The app will now show a prompt to scan the Dimplex Hub GDID sticker, which is found on the rear of the hub. This is scanned using the rear facing camera on your phone or tablet. If you do not have a camera or for some reason you cannot use it, tap on the "Skip to manual enter" at the bottom of the screen to manually enter the Dimplex Hub GDID and PIN number.

Next, select how you want to connect the Dimplex Hub to your home internet connection. LAN (Ethernet cable) is the quickest and easiest connection method using the supplied Ethernet cable between the Dimplex Hub and your home internet router. Alternatively WiFi is possible, if you have a 2.4GHz WiFi network (Channel 1 to 11).

If you chose WiFi, then the app will ask you to press the Bluetooth button on the Dimplex Hub, so that your phone can talk to the hub via Bluetooth. When the Hub begins pairing, your mobile device will receive a pairing request asking for a pin. This is the 6 digit pin on the back of the Hub. Once connected, you can then select your existing WiFi network from the list of nearby points, enter your WiFi password and the Hub will then connect to the WiFi.

If you chose LAN, then the app will ask you to connect the Ethernet cable, make sure the lights are lit on the hub then press the Bluetooth button on the Dimplex Hub, so that your phone can talk to the hub via Bluetooth. When the Hub begins pairing, your mobile device will receive a pairing request asking for a pin. This is the 6 digit pin on the back of the Hub. Once connected, you will move onto the LAN settings. Use the default LAN settings of Proxy None and IP Auto and your hub should then connect to the Internet.

Once your hub is connected, you can now start to add Zones and Appliances as per this guide:
