Disable Open Window Detection
The Open Window function is designed to stop the heater from heating, if it detects a sudden drop in room temperature, which may be due to a window being opened. If it detects a window has been opened, the window symbol will flash on screen and stop heating. You can enable the heater again by pressing a button on the keypad and the heater will then start heating again and the window symbol stops flashing.
You may wish to disable Open Window detection, if your towel rail is in an area near a cold draught or cold breeze that keeps making the Open Window detection feature to trigger when you don't want it to.
To disable this:
- Press the POWER button to turn off the towel rail
- Press and hold POWER and MODE buttons for 3 seconds
- Press and hold PREHEAT button for 3 seconds
- Press MODE button once. The open window symbol appears on screen.
- Press MINUS button once. This changes the 1 to a 0 on screen.
- Press MODE button 3 times. The screen will now be back to the temperature screen but the window symbol will have gone, meaning the Open Window function is now disabled.

Enable Open Window Detection
If you have disabled Open Window Detection but would like to switch the feature back on;
- Press the POWER button to turn off the towel rail
- Press and hold POWER and MODE buttons for 3 seconds
- Press and hold PREHEAT button for 3 seconds
- Press MODE button once. The open window symbol appears on screen.
- Press PLUS button once. This changes the 0 to a 1 on screen.
- Press MODE button 3 times. The screen will now be back to the temperature screen and the window symbol will have appeared, meaning the Open Window function is now enabled.
