How do I use the TRM or CTR towel controls?

Using Boost:


Boost can be activated by pressing the BOOST button then select the desired time duration of the boost using the + and - buttons.


 

Using Repeat:


Repeat mode allows you to record and view the top times (2 times) for preheating the bathroom. Press the REPEAT button for 3 seconds to save the current schedule, then confirm by pressing the MODE button.

Press the REPEAT button to view the chosen schedule.

 

 

Setting the Clock:

 

To be able to use the programming function, you must set the time & day on the towel rail.  

Press the MODE and BOOST keys for 3 seconds to enter the programming menu.


Press + / - to change screen to "ON" mode.
Press MODE button and the display will say "Pr"

Press the +/- button to select "Hr" (the clock setting option).

Press MODE. Screen will change to Hours flashing. Use the +/- key to alter the current hour of the day.
Press MODE. Screen will change to Minutes flashing. Use the +/- key to alter the current minute of the day.
Press MODE. Screen will change to edit the day of the week.
Press MODE. Screen will change to Pr. From this point you can either choose to select one of the programme modes using the +/- buttons, or select Exit using the +/- button then press MODE to confirm.

 

 

 

Program options:

 

There are 6 Program timer presets available. P1, P2 & P3 are pre-set and cannot be altered, whereas P4, P5 and P6 programs can be customised according to your needs.

 

If you choose P1, P2 or P3, these have the following settings:

 

P1 Program will be in Comfort mode (aiming for your chosen temperature set point) from 05:00-09:00 and from 17:00-23:00. Outside of these times, the heater will be in Setback mode. 

P2 Program will be in Comfort mode (aiming for your chosen temperature set point) from 05:00-09:00, from 12:00-14:00 and from 17:00-23:00. Outside of these times, the heater will be in Setback mode.

P3 Program will be in Comfort mode (aiming for your chosen temperature set point) from 05:00-23:00. Outside of these times, the heater will be in Setback mode. 

See the visualisation below, where each hour of time is represented by a square block, and blocks in the upper position represent the Comfort time periods.

If you choose to personalise P4, P5 or P6, then you can define up to 3 time slots in the Comfort set point temperature.


Setting the Program:


Hold REPEAT & BOOST buttons for 3 seconds.

Use +/- buttons to toggle the screen to "ON" mode.

Press MODE button.

Press +/- buttons to select the desired Program number from P1 to P6.

Press MODE button.

 

Example, to set P4 for Comfort mode 6AM to 9AM period one:

Press MODE. Display changes to show the start hour.
Change start hour with +/- button
Press MODE. Display changes to "A".
Press MODE. Display changes to end hour.
Change End Hour for period one by pressing +/- button.
Press MODE.

 

 

Example, to set P4 for Comfort mode 11AM to 2PM period two:

Press MODE. Display changes to show the start hour.
Change start hour with +/- button
Press MODE. Display changes to "A".
Press MODE. Display changes to end hour.
Change End Hour for period one by pressing +/- button.
Press MODE.

 

 

Example, to set P4 for Comfort mode 6PM to 10PM period three:

Press MODE. Display changes to show the start hour.
Change start hour with +/- button
Press MODE. Display changes to "A".
Press MODE. Display changes to end hour.
Change End Hour for period one by pressing +/- button.
Press MODE.


Once complete, press MODE to confirm the setting.
To exit the program setting, press +/- until "EXIT" shows and press MODE.

 

 

To disable the timer from running:


Hold REPEAT & BOOST for 3 seconds

Press +/- to change screen from ON to OFF

Press MODE to confirm.

  

  

Child Lock:

 

 

Simultaneously press & hold the + and - buttons for 3 seconds to lock or unlock the keypad. There will be a key symbol on screen to show when the keypad is in a locked state.

 

 

PIN lock using 4 digit code:

 

Locking

It is possible to lock the heater using a 4 digit PIN code of your chosing.

To lock the product with an example PIN of 1023:

Hold + & - buttons for 10 seconds. Display will show "CODE" on screen.
Press MODE

Use +/- button to select the first digit, then press MODE to move to the next digit. Repeat until all 4 digits are chosen.
Press MODE to exit. The keypad is now locked and requires the 4 digit number to unlock it.


Unlocking

To unlock product Hold + & - buttons for 3 seconds. Display will show "CODE" on screen.

Use +/- button to select the first digit, then press MODE to move to the next digit. Repeat until all 4 digits are entered.
Press MODE to confirm.

If the code is correct, the display will show "OK" and will unlock, then the temperature on screen without a key symbol.

If the code is wrong, the display will show "NON" and remain locked with a key symbol on screen.


 

 

Eco Mode setting:  


When the MODE button is pressed, it will cycle the heater through Comfort mode (the comfort temp is displayed with a sun symbol, or pressed again will show "ECO" mode and pressed again will show "HG" (Frost Protect) mode.


When in ECO mode, the heater is going to typically be in a lower target temperature than the Comfort mode.

 

To check the current target temperature in ECO mode, just press + or - briefly and the ECO target temperature is shown on screeen. 

 

To change the ECO target temperature, hold MODE for 3 seconds and the temperature number will flash on screen. Use the +/- buttons to alter the target ECO temperature and then press MODE to confirm.

It is recommended to use the ECO mode when you plan to be away for short term absence (more than 2 hours) for economic operation. 


 

 

Frost Protect setting: 


When the MODE button is pressed, it will cycle the heater through Comfort mode (the comfort temp is displayed with a sun symbol, or pressed again will show "ECO" mode and pressed again will show "HG" (Frost Protect) mode.


When in Frost Protect mode, the heater will aim to maintain a 7C target room temperature. This mode is ideal when away for more than 24 hours, for maximum economy. 


 

 

Behaviour Indicator:


The product has a Behaviour indicator showing how economically the heater is being used, based on the target temperature selected. The cursor in the top left of the screen will move from green to red, according to how you use the product. Selecting a target temperature of 19C or lower will make the cursor point to green. If you increase the target temperature, the arrow will move towards the red, reminding you that the target temperature you have selected is not as economic.

This cursor appears whilst you are changing the target set point temperature of the heater.

 

 

The Repeat function: 


The Repeat function allows you to save up to two times at which bathroom pre-heating will automatically start every day so that it is the right temperature when required.


Example, to get the heater to pre-heat every day at the time, if you enter the bathroom at 6AM and want the heater to always heat at 6AM, hold the REPEAT button for three seconds to log that time. Later on in the day if you want to set another repeat time, hold the REPEAT button for 3 seconds to log that other time. The Repeat slot is shown lit up as 1 or 2 on the top of the timer body.



If you want to delete the repeat, press the REPEAT button once then press the REPEAT button again, holding it for three seconds to delete the repeat.

 

If there is no recording of a repeat, both repeat LEDs are off and the screen displays "no" for a second before returning to the initial state.

  

 

The Boost function: 

  

The Boost function will allow the heater to heat up for an adjustable duration.

 

Press BOOST to activate the boost function, then press +/- buttons to adjust the boost duration (from 5 mins to 2 hours).

  

If you want to set a duration as the default duration when the boost is selected, press BOOST to activate the boost function, press +/- to select the boost duration and then press and hold the MODE button for 3 seconds to save the selected duration as the default. 

 

 

Open Window detection: 

 

 

The heater can detect if a window has been opened and then automatically respond by stopping the heater from heating, on the assumption that a window being opened may signify that no heat is currently required. It works by detecting a sudden drop in room temperature, which is typically experienced when a window is opened. When the heater detects this, the window icon will show on screen and the heater will stop heating.

You can press any button to automatically restart heating.

 

 

Configuring additional functions.

 

 

There are additional settings which can be altered. To access these, you need to press the POWER button so the display shows 4 dashes. 

Press and hold on the POWER and MODE button for 3 seconds and the screen will change to "NIV2".

Hold the REPEAT button for 3 seconds to access the various settings.

The following options can be altered. 

- Backlight timeout active or deactivated.

- Open window active or deactivated.

- Selection of degrees celsius or farenheit.

- Framing function active or deactive. When this setting is active, the Comfort temperature is framed and cannot be altered more than +/-2°C.
