How do I reduce the running costs of my electric radiators and panel heaters?

The most effective way to reduce running costs is to reduce the set temperature of the heater, where possible. Only setting your heating to come on when you have a requirement.

The setting of the time and temperature controls can be found in your instruction manual. This includes the setting of Adaptive start which we recommend to have enabled.

This avoids heating up rooms for a long time before they are occupied, for example.

If you have both storage and direct-acting panel heaters, be sure to prioritise the use of the storage heaters (which run using cheaper, off-peak electricity). The panel heaters can be set at a temperature slightly lower than that of the storage heaters, and also timed to come on only when heat is required.
