T_AIR error is displayed on Edel cylinder. What does this mean?

If T_AIR error is displayed on the cylinder on its own accord, then the cylinder is indicating that the air temperature sensor appears to be misreading.

This will require a service visit.

It is recommended that parts below are taken:

X-B1244090 (temp probe 10kOhm 460mm)

X-B1244096 Main PCB

This applies to the Edel 170, 200 & 270 cylinders.

The “lightning flash” symbol should appear on screen automatically if the hot water needs to be heated using the immersion, without selecting “elec mode” for the backup. If this does not occur:

To switch on the backup immersion, search knowledge base for “My Edel hot water cylinder has stopped heating the water. How do I get hot water via backup?”

Note if you have your Edel set as a language other than English the error may display as -

SOND E AIR (French)

T_LU FT (German)

SOND.ARIA (Italian)

TEMP.POW (Polish)

T_LU CHT (Dutch)

T_AI RE_ER (Spanish)
