The Quantum heater should be installed onto a solid flat floor which can bear the weight of the heater. Not all carpets are firm or flat, so the carpet should be cut around the feet to make a solid surface for the heater to sit.
It is important that all the weight of the product is on the feet and not on the wall. The wall bracket simply prevents the heater from falling over or coming away from the wall.
