How do you set the timer on my Dimplex Panel Heater? Series B onwards

This article is applicable to the below Dimplex panel heaters that are series B onwards. Please check the data label on your heater before continuing.

Our panel heaters, from series B, are factory set to the User Timer at 21°C.


There are four timer modes that can be selected. The factory set times are as follows:


The Heater can also be set to a constant room temperature using the following modes:

Should you wish to use a timer mode but require different times, you are able to modify the timer. To modify the timer please follow the below instructions:

  • Press the Menu button to access the ‘Main Menu’
  • Press the Down Arrow to ‘Modes’ 
  • Press Enter 
  • Press the Arrows to ‘Timer Modes’
  • Press Enter
  • Press the Arrows to select the timer you wish to amend
  • Press Enter
  • Press the Down Arrow to ‘Modify’
  • Press Enter to access ‘Period 1’ of the timer
  • Press Enter twice to the ‘ON’ hour for ‘Period 1’
  • Press the Arrows to the hour you wish the heat to start at
  • Press Enter to the ‘ON’ minutes
  • Press the Arrows to the minute you wish to start at
  • Press Enter to the ‘OFF’ hour
  • Press the Arrows to the hour you want the first heating period to stop
  • Press Enter to the ‘OFF’ minutes
  • Press the Arrows to the minute you want the heat to stop
  • Press Enter to temperature
  • Press the Arrows to select your target room temperature. This is factory set to 21°C
  • Press Enter – This will move the timer to ‘Period 2’
  • Press Enter again for the 2nd heating period’s ‘ON’ hour
  • Press the Arrows to select the hour you want the 2nd heating period to start
  • Press Enter to the ‘ON’ Minutes
  • Press the Arrows to select the minutes you want the 2nd heating period to start
  • Press Enter to the ‘OFF’ hour
  • Press the Arrows to select the hour you want the 2nd heating period to end
  • Press Enter to the ‘OFF’ Minutes
  • Press the Arrows to select the minute you want the 2nd heating period to end 
  • Press Enter to temperature
  • Press the Arrows to select your target room temperature for the 2nd heating period. This is factory set to 21°C
  • Press Enter – This will move the timer to ‘Period 3’
  • Press Enter again for the 3rd heating period’s ‘ON’ hour
  • Press the Arrows to select the hour you want the 3rd heating period to start
  • Press Enter to the ‘ON’ Minutes
  • Press the Arrows to select the minutes you want the 3rd heating period to start
  • Press Enter to the ‘OFF’ hour
  • Press the Arrows to select the hour you want the 3rd heating period to end
  • Press Enter to the ‘OFF’ Minutes
  • Press the Arrows to select the minute you want the 3rd heating period to end 
  • Press Enter to temperature
  • Press the Arrows to select your target room temperature for the 3rd heating period. This is factory set to 21°C
  • Press Enter – This will move the timer to Period 4
  • Press Enter again for the 4th heating period’s ‘ON’ hour
  • Press the Arrows to select the hour you want the 4th heating period to start
  • Press Enter to the ‘ON’ Minutes
  • Press the Arrows to select the minutes you want the 4th heating period to start
  • Press Enter to the ‘OFF’ hour
  • Press the Arrows to select the hour you want the 4th heating period to end
  • Press Enter to the ‘OFF’ Minutes
  • Press the Arrows to select the minute you want the 4th heating period to end 
  • Press Enter to temperature
  • Press the Arrows to select your target room temperature for the 4th heating period. This is factory set to 21°C
  • Press Enter to move to the next Day and the day will be highlighted

Should you wish to, you can follow this process for each day. However, should you wish to have the same settings for multiple days, you can copy and paste your changes. This is done as follows:


  • With the Day highlighted, press and hold the Advance button for 2 seconds – the day will flash between the day and ‘Copied’
  • Press the Arrows to the next day
  • Press and hold Enter for 2 seconds - the day will flash between the day and ‘Pasted’
  • Follow this process for each day you wish to have the same
  • Once all required days are completed, press the Back button to stop the Copy and Paste process and press Back again to Save. This will put you back to the chosen timer’s menu 
  • If the chosen timer has not been selected, Press the Arrows to ‘Select’ 
  • Press Enter
  • A Tick will appear in the middle of the screen with ‘Selected’ at the bottom
