Why is the temperature sensor on the Nobo EcoSwitch not giving me thermostatic control over my RS700 / RSX700 with the EcoHub?

The EcoSwitch temperature sensor can only be used in conjunction with panel heater cassettes such as NCU1R and NCU2R to offer central room temperature sensing, rather than localised temperature sensing on the individual panel heater.

The software will not allow the temperature sensor to be used in conjunction with an RS700 or RSX 700 to switch them on/off according to room temperature.

The RS700 / RSX700 receivers will only switch on/off according to a timer profile set on the EcoHub. This timer profile can be temporarily overridden however by the EcoSwitch push buttons if it is paired with the same zone as the RS700 / RSX700.

• Cassette – the thermostat module that clicks into the top of each Nobo panel heater

• RS700 or RSX700 – Nobo devices that switch on devices such as towel rails or immersion elements on hot water tanks. They are usually hidden out of view behind wiring backboxes or inside your consumer unit / fuse box.

• EcoSwitch – a wall mounted battery operated plate switch that enables you to switch on the system or to turn it back to economy mode easily. It has a temperature probe built into it.
